It's a very personal work of art, like a diary in pictures. The scariest place from my childhood. I repainted it, changing my own memories, and everything that had haunted me for so long finally stopped haunting me. The amazing magic of creativity.

About series of artworks "SELF"
Self is a series of artworks that turned out to be an answer to the question "Who am I? In the search for this mysterious self, I had to dig up a whole bunch of fragments, revise each of them, and then build something new out of the pieces.
The house (more home as a house) is the symbol from which the search began. The goal was to build something in my psyche that would hold all my pieces together, brick by brick.
Almost every painting has a word hidden in it that somehow reflects the meaning I wanted to put into it. I don't think words are that important to understanding the artwork, and I try to paint in a way that the works speak for themselves. But a hidden word, like an Easter egg, is a nice bonus that I like to leave for the viewer, and I hope they have as much fun finding it.
